Lessons run as normal if it is raining however safety of the participants and instructors is paramount. We follow the 30-30 rule for lightning safety so if we see lightning followed within 30 seconds by a thunder clap we vacate the water for 30 minutes.  For added safety we use the app ‘Weather Bug’ which provides accurate weather information for your exact location and the precise location of lightning strikes.  If it should happen to lightning while we are in the water, we provide the first aid portion of the lesson in an indoor area.
